Eagle in the ditch

May 5th
Today we continued north.  Some of the light rain was snow spit.  We came upon a huge blood spot on the road from a road kill and there was a lovely eagle sitting proudly on the kill in the ditch.
Pretty uneventful day otherwise.  We went through a nice museum in Quesnel.
They have a big festival called Billy Barker Days in July.  So I asked who was Billy Barker and was told that he was a miner who really struck it rich in the nearby historic town of Barkerville.  He died a poor man however as he spent all his riches on whiskey and women.  We are staying at SouthPark RV Park outside of Prince George.  Snow at the edge of the swampy hiking trails.
