Alumni Dinner

Went to a UC Berkeley Alumni Dinner tonight and heard a presentation from the Center for Fire Research. Was OK. Chatted a lot to dinner mates. Wm missed it as he had volunteered to help interview scholarship applicants.

You'd think with all that high-powered brain power (probably caused retirees running on fumes), the two events could have been synchronized to not overlap. So, Mimi gets steak, I get leftovers!

Be prepared; get your fire bags packed. It looks to be a very bad fire season ahead; lack of spring moisture, 53% snow pack, hot August nights, burn time a'coming.
